A leading not-for-profit organization in London is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee all financial matters and provide leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, capable of translating data into insights and inspire a high-performing team. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £74,529 plus additional benefits and a hybrid working model involving part-time office presence.
The Head of Finance is responsible for providing leadership and operational delivery of all financial matters for the Society and the College. Working closely with the Executive Director of Finance and Operations (EDFO), the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Senior Management Team to deliver high-quality accounting service to the organization, including financial advice, sound financial planning, accurate reporting, and robust financial controls. Leading a team of five delivering all aspects of finance, pensions, and payroll, while also managing key stakeholder relationships across the not-for-profit, charity, and trade union sector.
This is a pivotal position, responsible not only for the day-to-day financial health of the business, but also for providing strategic insight, challenge, and leadership to support growth ambitions.
They are seeking a highly qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPFA or equivalent) with strong technical expertise and significant experience in senior finance leadership, ideally gained within a dynamic, growing organisation. The ideal candidate will be strategic-minded, able to translate complex financial data into clear business insights that drive decision-making. You will be a confident and inspiring leader, capable of building and developing a high-performing team, while also demonstrating excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders across all levels of the business. Resilient and adaptable, you will bring expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and operational efficiency to support sustainable growth.

Location: HQ (Bermondsey) Hybrid Working (2 days in HQ, 3 days working from home or Homeworking)
Salary: Grade E - £74,529 per annum plus
London weighting - £6,769 (HQ / Hybrid) or
Homeworkers Allowance £1,163 (Homeworking)
Plus £312 (Hybrid)
