Your new company
Our public sector client is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join as their Head of Finance, reporting into a Director. This pivotal role will lead to the provision of high-quality post-award advice and support and will manage all financial and legal aspects of contracts.
Your new role
You will be responsible for a team of 18 staff, promoting and maintaining a high-quality Professional Services team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will ensure compliance with funding policies, statutory reporting, and internal and external audits. You will oversee the provision of up-to-date project reporting to key stakeholders and Finance Business Partners. You will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment of services and ensure service delivery meets statutory, legal, and financial reporting requirements. The role also involves providing accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders in accordance with corporate timetables.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant with strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams. You will have the ability to build robust processes and ensure compliance with policies, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate would have worked within the Higher Education, NHS or charity sectors.
What you'll get in return
This is a hybrid role: 2 days in the office, 3 remote, salary 60,000 - 74,800 plus an enhanced generous pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
