Overview

Head of Finance (part-time)

We are recruiting for a part time Head of Finance to join an established company based in Bishop's Stortford on a permanent basis. This role will be working 25 hours per week (between Monday-Friday) and offering a salary up-to 46k Per Annum. This is an office based position, with free parking on-site.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the monthly management and statutory accounts, tax payments, and profit and loss reporting, ensuring all files are accurate
• Manage and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, with clear analysis of financial performance
• Identifying opportunities to increase financial performance and profitability for the business
• Analysing income channels and detailed costings and analysis
• Liaising and supporting the CEO with strategic planning
• Analyse income streams and contribute to forecasting and profit & loss reporting
• Responsible for one direct report within the finance team
• Support the leadership team in identifying growth opportunities and constraints, attending board meetings to present and discuss financial updates
• Oversee the use of Xero for ongoing financial management and reporting
• Model financial scenarios and provide clear, data-driven recommendations
• Ensure appropriate and correct filing and reporting of statutory accounts and tax payments

Candidate requirements

• You must be an experienced Head of Finance and Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong financial management experience including reporting and planning skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Xero
• Excellent communication skills with the ability and proven experience explaining financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
