About the Company

At Fora, we're reimagining what the workplace can be.

We create inspiring, design-led spaces that blend hospitality, community, and wellbeing, so people can work productively, creatively, and happily.

From our first London workspace over 20 years ago, we've grown to 60+ locations across the UK, supporting 30,000+ members and partnering with trailblazing brands.

Backed by The Office Group, Blackstone, and Brockton Capital, we're growing fast and pioneering conscious design, sustainable construction, and workspaces that empower people to work in their own unique way.

At Fora, we're not just shaping workplaces, we're shaping the future of work.

The Role

Our buildings are central to the experience we create. We're looking for a Head of Facilities to lead Facilities operations across our portfolio, ensuring every workspace is safe, compliant, reliable and consistently delivers the high standards our members and colleagues expect.

This is more than a traditional Facilities leadership role. You'll place member experience at the heart of operational decision-making, using insight, expertise and strong leadership to improve building performance, strengthen service reliability and address issues before they affect the people using our spaces.

Working across Operations, Property, Partnerships, Design & Construction, Finance and other central teams, you'll turn strategic priorities into measurable operational outcomes. You'll lead a broad Facilities function spanning regional operations, technical services, compliance, maintenance, supplier performance, asset management and capital investment.

Working Pattern

Please note this position is 4 days in the office and 1 day working from anywhere.

The role will also require a visible presence across our London portfolio.

Why This Role Matters

The quality and reliability of our buildings directly shape how members experience Fora. Your leadership will help ensure that our spaces continue to perform at their best, that disruption is managed decisively and that Facilities makes a visible contribution to member satisfaction, retention and confidence.

Success will mean creating a consistent, accountable and commercially focused Facilities operation. You'll strengthen how we use data, manage risk, develop suppliers and plan investment, while building a leadership team capable of supporting a growing and evolving portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing
Portfolio Leadership & Member Experience
  • Lead day-to-day Facilities performance across the portfolio, creating clear accountability and consistently high standards across regional and specialist teams.
  • Put member experience at the centre of Facilities planning, using feedback, service trends and building-performance data to identify priorities and drive improvement.
  • Maintain a strong presence across our buildings, ensuring decisions are grounded in the realities of the spaces and the people who use them.
  • Translate company priorities into practical operational plans, performance standards and measurable outcomes.
Operational Performance & Resilience
  • Strengthen the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, improving reliability and reducing the impact of recurring building issues.
  • Lead the Facilities response to significant incidents and business-critical failures, coordinating escalation, communication, recovery and post-incident learning.
  • Ensure planned works, outages and service disruption are communicated clearly and managed with member experience in mind.
  • Use insight from Freshservice, CAFM, compliance, audit and asset-management systems to improve decision-making and hold leaders accountable for action.
Safety, Compliance & Asset Management
  • Maintain strong oversight of statutory compliance, health and safety systems, inspections, audits and portfolio risk.
  • Ensure compliance records are accurate, accessible and kept up to date, with clear ownership for addressing gaps or emerging issues.
  • Shape the portfolio's Facilities asset strategy, including condition assessment, lifecycle planning, critical spares and operational resilience.
  • Support crisis management, incident investigation and business continuity planning across the estate.
Commercial, Supplier & Investment Leadership
  • Lead strategic relationships with key Facilities providers and contractors, ensuring performance is measured through meaningful service levels, KPIs and reviews.
  • Improve supplier quality, accountability and value for money, addressing underperformance and identifying opportunities for stronger commercial outcomes.
  • Lead Facilities operating budgets and forecasting, providing clear visibility of expenditure, variances, risks and efficiencies.
  • Help shape capital and lifecycle investment priorities across internal fabric, external fabric and building services.
People Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary Facilities leadership team, creating clarity, trust and accountability across the function.
  • Build capability and succession plans that support both current operational needs and the future growth of the portfolio.
  • Encourage better ways of working, including the thoughtful use of AI, automation and data to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Create a culture where people take ownership, collaborate effectively and remain calm and decisive when challenges arise.
Requirements
Essential Experience
  • Significant Facilities Management leadership experience across a multi-site portfolio.
  • Experience overseeing both hard and soft FM services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing complex contractor and supplier relationships.
  • A track record of leading operational change, service improvement and performance management.
  • Strong financial capability, including budget management, forecasting and investment prioritisation.
  • Experience leading large or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance service, cost, risk and member experience.
  • Confidence using operational data and Facilities systems to support decisions and drive accountability.
  • IWFM Level 5 or an equivalent professional qualification.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience within flexible workspace, hospitality, commercial real estate or another multi-site operational environment.
  • Experience supporting building mobilisations, refurbishments or portfolio growth.
  • Knowledge of ESG, sustainability and energy-management programmes.
  • Experience working with institutional landlords, property partners or asset managers.
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate, IWFM Level 6 or 7, IOSH Managing Safely, RICS qualification, or a relevant degree.
