Role Overview

You will provide technical finance leadership for the Group, working closely with stakeholders from FP&A, Tax, Treasury front office, Investor Relations, Communications, and Legal teams. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards and Group accounting policies, while considering the commercial realities of the business.

Team Structure

Team of 5 direct/indirect reports:

1. Group Treasury Controller
2. Group Accountant - supports the Group Head of External Reporting, including technical support, financial statement preparation, and SOX controls
3. Assistant Group Accountant - reports to Group Accountant; handles reporting for finance/holding entities, statutory accounts, intangible reviews, and SOX controls
4. Management Accountant - manages reporting of central overheads, VAT, ONS returns, and SOX controls
5. Assistant Accountant - reports on finance/holding entities, statutory accounts, deferred duty reconciliations, and SOX controls
6. Accounts Assistant - manages payroll accounting and SOX controls

Requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with significant experience in FTSE 100/250 audit and Group Finance roles
• Experience in SEC reporting
• Experience in SOX controls
• Experience leading or managing a back-office Treasury team (preferred)
