Our hotel

The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel’s majestic clock defines the city’s skyline, and since the day we opened in 1902, it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train.

Your Key Responsibilities

Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.

As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:

• Lead outstanding teams by setting high standards, providing guidance, and developing in order to achieve consistently high levels of service
• Create and seek opportunities to learn and to develop others to drive the performance of the divisional area and the hotel
• Understand our markets, competitors, and business and operational model
• Ensure the divisional area consistently delivers service standards
• Use financial and other management principles to deliver business results
• Take ownership and responsibility for the results of the divisional area
• Align with the hotel strategy and set goals for departments within the divisional area
• Maintain close contact with the Executive Head Chef and Food and Beverage Controller to monitor trends and quality in food products, ensuring at all times the high standards associated with The Balmoral Hotel are maintained
