Job summary

Nottingham College is seeking a strategic and operational leader for estates maintenance across its campus portfolio. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team, drive compliance, and manage maintenance programmes to ensure reliable, safe, and high-quality learning environments.

You will lead on budget control, contractor performance, and sustainability initiatives while supporting capital projects from planning through to handover across multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large estates portfolios.
• Proven ability to oversee maintenance teams and drive service improvements.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and health and safety requirements.
• Experience managing maintenance contracts and service providers.
• Excellent budgeting and financial management skills.
• Effective communication with stakeholders across a large organisation.

Job description

Reporting to the Director of Estates & Capital Projects, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all estates maintenance activities across the College's portfolio. You will be responsible for:

• Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary estates and maintenance team.
• Ensuring statutory compliance across all buildings, plant, equipment and infrastructure.
• Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance services.
• Driving service improvements and delivering high standards of customer service across campuses.
• Managing estates budgets and achieving value for money.
• Overseeing contractor performance and compliance.
• Supporting capital projects from planning through to handover.
• Leading health, safety, environmental and sustainability initiatives.

• Competitive salary - £60,671 to £68,534 per annumFTE. (This will be pro-rata for part time posts)
