An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Head of Estate to lead their Collections & Estate team. This role involves managing facilities across a stunning portfolio of nine historic sites, ensuring their upkeep and safety. You will be responsible for coordinating repairs, maintenance, and health and safety while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 per week (Monday - Friday with a willingness to work evenings & weekends to meet the needs of the business)
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Location: Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and other BMT sites
We are looking for someone to join Birmingham Museums Trust’s Collections & Estate team as the Head of Estate.
You will lead the Estate service responsible for the facilities and asset management across Birmingham Museums Trust’s nine sites, including repairs and maintenance, utilities, health and safety, security, hygiene and cleaning, and will liaise closely with our two corporate landlords and their respective facilities teams.
Our stunning portfolio of nine sites are located across Birmingham and include six Listed historic buildings and an Ancient Scheduled Monument. Eight of these sites, including the Grade II* listed Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and Grade I listed Aston Hall, are owned by Birmingham City Council, and one site - Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum - is owned by Millennium Point Trust.
