Join a global tech leader as Head of ESG, driving group-wide sustainability reporting and a high-impact Positive Impact Plan. Influence board-level decisions, shape global ESG strategy, and make a real difference in a collaborative, inclusive, and flexible environment that values personal growth.

Head of Environmental, Social and Governance

Salary: £100,000-£120,000 (+bonus and benefits)

Location: London

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Head of Environmental, Social and Governance to join a global leader in the Technology Space. This pivotal role offers you the chance to shape and deliver group-wide sustainability reporting, driving forward an ambitious Positive Impact Plan that is central to the organisation’s ongoing success. You will be at the heart of a collaborative, knowledgeable team that values flexibility, inclusivity, and personal growth.

If you are passionate about making a tangible difference through strategic ESG leadership and thrive in an environment where your expertise will influence board-level decisions and drive meaningful change across international markets, this is the perfect next step for your career.

What you'll do:

Oversee the end-to-end delivery of sustainability reporting for both internal stakeholders (including Board and Executive Committee) and external audiences such as investors and ratings agencies.

Partner closely with finance teams to establish robust processes for sustainability data management and assurance, ensuring accuracy and credibility in all disclosures.

Project manage annual sustainability reporting cycles by integrating technology solutions such as Workiva, Salesforce, Workday, and EcoVadis to streamline data collection and analysis.

Mentor colleagues responsible for advancing the Positive Impact Plan by providing guidance on new disclosures or targets and fostering their professional growth.

Identify opportunities to enhance the credibility of sustainability initiatives through adoption of best practices in assurance and transparent communication.

Contribute strategically to the evolution of reporting metrics beyond compliance requirements to drive positive business change throughout the organisation.

Develop effective quarterly internal management reports for senior leadership committees while also supporting ad hoc requests from audit functions.

Collaborate with communications teams to produce compelling materials for internal events by supplying accurate facts and insightful data analysis.

Manage administration for the Sustainability Working Group while leading delivery of strategies related to sustainability ratings agencies in partnership with Investor Relations, Risk, Compliance, and Treasury functions.

Continuously monitor developments in sustainability reporting standards and regulatory frameworks to provide informed recommendations that enhance performance.

What you bring:

A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior reporting role encompassing both US and European regulatory environments is essential for success in this position.

Demonstrated familiarity with financial or non-financial (sustainability) annual reporting cycles enables you to navigate complex disclosure requirements confidently.

Proven understanding of formal assurance processes ensures that all reported data meets rigorous standards for accuracy and credibility.

Exceptional project management skills—gained either through hands-on experience or formal programme environments—allow you to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.

Comfort working with large datasets (without needing deep technical analytics expertise) empowers you to extract actionable insights from diverse sources.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint supports your ability to convert raw information into compelling management reports tailored for senior audiences.

Experience preparing submissions for sustainability ratings agencies such as CDP, ISS, or S&P demonstrates your ability to meet external expectations efficiently.

A track record of constructive collaboration with third-party organisations—including consultancies or advisory firms—enables you to leverage external expertise when needed.

A proactive approach to problem-solving means you address challenges directly while maintaining focus on continuous improvement across all activities.

Meticulous attention to detail combined with an ability to maintain perspective on broader organisational goals ensures high-quality outcomes at every stage.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation is a global leader in its sector, known for its iconic brands and strong commitment to positive impact—on people, communities, and the planet. Its collaborative structure promotes cross-border expertise sharing and fosters an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, flexible working is embraced, and personal growth is supported through generous learning and wellbeing benefits. With structured recognition, bonus schemes, paid volunteering, and perks like gym memberships and electric car schemes, this is an employer that prioritises genuine transformation and shared success.
