Job Title: Head of Engineering

Salary: To £95,000 plus excellent package

Location: Walsall, West Midlands UK

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the technical vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends
• Design and oversee scalable, secure architectures for Salesforce-based solutions
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team of 60+ across UK and India
• Manage product and technical roadmap delivery following SDLC and Agile processes
• Champion modern engineering practices including Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps
• Manage budgets for tools and personnel within the engineering estate
• Drive research and adoption of AI-powered solutions and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with product management, customer service, and leadership teams
• Ensure governance, security, regulatory, and quality standards are met
• Identify and recommend external partners for technology delivery

What You’ll Need

Experience

• Managing international Software Development and Testing teams, ideally within Salesforce
• Expertise in Salesforce development, architecture, and ecosystem
• Knowledge of scalable SaaS architectures, API design, and cloud-native tech
• Experience leading and scaling engineering teams in agile environments
• Developing standards and process improvements
• Monitoring and managing software development activities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
