Job description

This is a unique opportunity for a Head of Engineering to join one of Manchester’s best-known ecommerce scale-ups.

The company have the backing of a FTSE 250 business and launched to the public late 2020 with a full UK wide TV advertising campaign.

As Head of Engineering, you’d be responsible for running multiple squads and would report to the Director of Engineering. You’d work alongside a Head of Product to guide the evolution of serverless event driven systems in an AWS environment whilst also helping to scale the product engineering department to 300+ people.

Skills:

• Background as a hands-on software engineer
• Servant leader for cross functional product engineering teams
• Experience creating an agile/lean ethos and DevOps culture
• Strong knowledge of cloud and serverless architectures

The money is good too – up to £100,000 plus benefits including 20% bonus, 5% pension, private medical, paid AWS certifications and regular flexible/remote working.
