Salary: Up to £80,000 + Benefits + Senior Management Opportunity

About the Business: This company is a leading name in the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team and drive strategic initiatives at their Midlands site.

The Role: As the Head of Engineering, you will oversee engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will manage a team of 20-30 engineers, oversee PPM schedules & CI (Continuous Improvement), and collaborate with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the engineering team through transformative change, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous development.
2. Design and implement advanced maintenance strategies to maximise production efficiency.
3. Manage and optimise Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs to reduce equipment downtime and improve reliability.
4. Enhance the use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for better scheduling and performance tracking.
5. Collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders to support overarching business objectives.
6. Mentor and guide engineering and technical teams, promoting accountability, creativity, and high performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience with fabrication and building maintenance.
• Experience within FMCG, Food, or Manufacturing sectors is preferred.
