Job summary

C3 Consultancy is seeking a Head of Energy & Sustainability to lead its established energy advisory team in Leeds and Hull. You will own the consultancy’s commercial, operational and technical performance, reporting to the Managing Director and helping drive growth.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary group of Energy Consultants, Building Services Engineers and Designers, developing client relationships, bids and project delivery with a clear path to Directorship.

Qualifications

• Strong senior-level experience within building services, energy efficiency, Net Zero or renewables.
• Consultancy experience leading and developing technical, engineering or design teams.
• Track record of business development, tendering, securing projects and building senior client relationships.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness, with experience managing project performance, resources and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the business strategy, annual plan, budget and growth objectives.
• Win new projects through bids, tenders, frameworks and proposals across Net Zero, sustainability consultancy and M&E design.
• Provide senior technical oversight across energy audits, heat decarbonisation plans, feasibility studies, retrofit programmes and low-carbon designs.
• Lead, develop and resource the technical team, introducing clear objectives, mentoring, performance reviews and development plans.
• Strengthen project governance by monitoring programmes, budgets, work in progress, invoicing, margins, quality and delivery risks.

C3 Consultancy is recruiting a Head of Energy & Sustainability to lead its established energy and sustainability consultancy.

The Head of Energy & Sustainability will take responsibility for the commercial, operational and technical performance of the consultancy, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

As Head of Energy & Sustainability, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team of Energy Consultants, Building Services Engineers and Designers while driving growth, strengthening client relationships and developing C3 Group's profile across the industry.

This opportunity would suit an experienced professional within energy, building services or decarbonisation consultancy delivering work for external clients, covering estate energy strategies, heat decarbonisation plans, energy audits, and feasibility studies to public-sector organisations.

You will see this as an opportunity to grow the consultancy and progress to Directorship.

Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll shape the business strategy, take ownership of commercial performance and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and to a consistently high standard.
