Job summary

A leading energy organisation in the UK is looking for a Head of Energy and Environment to lead their energy strategy, oversee sustainability initiatives, and manage infrastructure projects. This remote role prefers candidates located in the south of the UK but is not restricted to this. Ideal applicants will have over 10 years of experience in energy or related fields and possess strong leadership and project management skills.

An innovative energy organisation in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of Energy and Environment to oversee all aspects of the organisation’s energy strategy, operations, and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s energy strategy, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead decarbonization and renewable energy initiatives.
• Track and report on sustainability KPIs and emissions.
• Manage energy infrastructure projects.
• Expand and develop the energy team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in senior, lead, principal, or head positions.
• Strong background in energy, sustainability, transport, supply, or a similar field.
• Extensive experience developing company-wide strategies and approaches to projects.
• Experience working with local authorities and organizations responsible for transport, energy, and infrastructure.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring colleagues.
• UK citizen without the need for sponsorship or visas.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
