Purpose of Role: The Head of End User Services at Weir is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring world-class support for end users and site-based technologies across the organisation. Operating within a Plan–Build–Run model, the role is primarily focused on theRunphase, ensuring operational continuity through effective service desk and site support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the 3–5 year roadmap for End User Services (EUS), aligning with IT and business goals while ensuring future-ready, secure, and innovative solutions.
  • Service Excellence & Vendor Management: Lead the relationship with the Managed Service Provider (TCS), ensuring high-quality service delivery, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement in user experience.
  • Collaborative Planning & Financial Oversight: Partner with business and IT leaders to define long-term support needs, manage budgets effectively, and deliver cost-efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Team Development & Performance Culture: Oversee resource planning, mentor the EUS team, and foster a high-performance, collaborative environment focused on user satisfaction and operational stability.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Experienced Global Leader: Held senior leadership roles in complex, multinational environments, with a strong ability to drive operational excellence, lead diverse teams, and deliver impactful business outcomes across regions.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated expertise in managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring SLA compliance, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to align services with strategic business goals.
  • Global Team Leadership: Skilled in leading and mentoring high-performing, geographically dispersed teams, including non-native English speakers, in complex, federated environments with 24/7 operational demands.
  • Strategic & Operational Excellence: Strong background in delivering large-scale initiatives, resource and financial planning, and driving continuous improvement in service reliability, user experience, and global consistency
