Permanent, London, 3 days a week in office hybrid working pattern

Your New RoleThis is a unique opportunity to lead the Employee Relations (ER) function within a newly established Centre of Excellence for the EMEA region. As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking HR team, you will play a key role in shaping the ER strategy, culture, and capability from the ground up.Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will work closely with senior HR leaders, including the Heads of Learning & Development and Reward. This role offers significant exposure to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the ER strategy aligned with the broader HR and business objectives across EMEA.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders on complex ER matters and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and develop a team of two ER Specialists, supporting their growth and capability.
  • Collaborate with other Centres of Excellence to support strategic HR initiatives and business transformation.


What You'll Need to SucceedYou are a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering impactful HR and ER initiatives. You thrive in inclusive environments and are confident, leading independently when required.
Preferred Experience:

  • Background in employment law (either qualified or with experience in a legal practice).
  • Passion for building culture through employee relations and policy development.
  • Experience in a financially regulated environment, or within professional services or insurance.
  • Proven ability to work in lean HR teams or within large-scale organisations (10,000+ global headcount).
  • Experience managing and developing ER professionals.
  • Strong understanding of EMEA employment law, particularly in Germany, Spain, and Italy.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing senior leadership teams.
