A leading educational organization seeks a Head of Education Operations to enhance student outcomes and ensure quality in the educational offering. This fully remote role supports teams in a dynamic environment, overseeing operational delivery and compliance while fostering continuous improvement and strong customer focus.
FULLY REMOTE (1-2 TIMES A MONTH IN LONDON OFFICE)
Main role:
The Head of Education Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of the education offer — overseeing all aspects of student support, assessment operations and learning delivery. This role acts as the operational backbone of the Education function, responsible for guiding students through their journey from enrolment to certification while upholding quality, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
You’ll lead and align the learning and assessment operations teams, ensuring an efficient, compliant, and joined-up experience for every student. A key element of this role includes managing our network of tutors and examiners, ensuring they are supported, engaged, and consistently delivering high standards across learning and assessment.
The role sits at the intersection of operational delivery and continuous improvement, with a clear mandate to streamline processes, safeguard regulatory integrity, and enhance student outcomes — all while maintaining tight control of costs and improving the financial sustainability of our education offer.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Significant experience leading operational teams in an education, training, or awarding body environment
•Proven experience managing external suppliers or contributors, ideally including educators or assessment specialists
•Demonstrable experience in budget ownership, financial reporting, and cost control
•Strong understanding of qualification delivery and assessment frameworks, with exposure to regulatory contexts
•Excellent leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills
•Confident using learner and operational systems; data-driven in your approach to problem solving
•Strong customer focus, with a passion for improving the student experience
•Experience with compliance and quality assurance frameworks
