We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic, and highly skilled Head of Economics to lead our successful Economics Department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of a thriving subject area in a high-performing and ambitious school.
About the Role:As Head of Economics, you will:
Lead the development and delivery of an engaging and academically rigorous Economics curriculum at KS4 and KS5
Inspire students to think critically about economic issues and develop a strong understanding of how economies function
Oversee a team of dedicated staff and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes
Play a key role in preparing students for further education, including Oxbridge and top Russell Group universities
Is an outstanding teacher with a strong track record of results in Economics
Has the vision and leadership skills to develop the subject further
Can motivate and support both staff and students to achieve excellence
Is reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
