Job description

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic, and highly skilled Head of Economics to lead our successful Economics Department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of a thriving subject area in a high-performing and ambitious school.

About the Role:

As Head of Economics, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of an engaging and academically rigorous Economics curriculum at KS4 and KS5

  • Inspire students to think critically about economic issues and develop a strong understanding of how economies function

  • Oversee a team of dedicated staff and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives

  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes

  • Play a key role in preparing students for further education, including Oxbridge and top Russell Group universities
