Our client, a highly successful and forward-thinking organisation, is seeking an experienced Head of Ecommerce to lead their digital commerce strategy. This is a senior role with full ownership of the company’s online sales performance and customer experience.

As the Head of Ecommerce, you will shape and execute a dynamic ecommerce strategy that drives revenue growth, enhances the customer journey, and strengthens the brand’s digital presence. Working collaboratively with marketing, IT, operations, and commercial teams, you’ll use data, technology, and innovation to deliver a seamless and engaging online experience.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and execute a winning ecommerce strategy that drives revenue and market growth
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and engaging online journey collaborating with marketing, commercial, IT, logistics and customer services
  • Optimise ecommerce platforms, technology, and integrations to boost performance
  • Use data and analytics to maximise sales, conversion, and customer retention
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create and implement strategies on SEO, PPC, email, and social campaigns to grow traffic and sales
  • Improve the end-to-end customer journey and implement best practises in UX/UI design to enhance site navigation, product discovery and mobile responsiveness
  • Set and manage ecommerce budgets, report on key KPIs, and ensure compliance with all data and applicable laws
Candidate requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • 8–10 years’ experience in ecommerce, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or leadership role
  • A proven track record of scaling successful ecommerce operations focused on growth, performance, and customer experience
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce
  • Experienced in managing teams, driving digital marketing initiatives, and implementing new technologies
  • Skilled in using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI and customer-centric design principles
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, conversion optimisation, and omnichannel commerce strategies
  • Results-driven, innovative, and adaptable in a fast-moving digital environment
  • An experienced and commercially driven Head of Ecommerce who combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership
  • Passionate about digital growth, customer experience, and using data to deliver results
  • Knowledge of e-commerce regulations, compliance, and data privacy laws
