Job Description:

IntaPeople are proud to support a globally recognised organisation which, due to continued growth, now requires a Senior Leader to join their PMO function.

This is a unique opportunity for someone to enhance and transform leadership and collaboration across digital/software teams and wider business stakeholders. You will be responsible for outstanding people leadership and play a role in the organisation's digital transformation programmes.

  • 10+ years of experience managing complex IT/Software/Digital Projects and Programmes
  • 5+ years of people management experience, ideally with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Business Analysts, etc.
  • Experience leading project management teams of at least 5-10+ peers
  • Experience working via a Global PMO function
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing large-scale portfolios
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with Project Governance and Business Stakeholder Management
  • Senior IT Stakeholder and Business Leadership experience with Governance Board exposure
  • Strong understanding of key business areas such as IT and Digital

As a People leader, you will develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and personal development plans for project managers and similar roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Digital Project Management team of 6-12 Project Managers and Coordinators globally.
  • Drive strategic and value-driven projects while building strong stakeholder partnerships.
  • Participate in Digital Governance sessions and decision-making bodies.
  • Champion industry best practices and innovation within the PMO team.
  • Manage up to 12 direct reports.
  • Be an articulate driver of change within the transformation team.
  • Build a high-performing project management team.
  • Enhance project management and leadership maturity.
  • Manage projects ranging from £250,000 to £10 million.

This role involves leading Project Managers, overseeing performance, and supporting team development within the PMO. It requires managing multiple project portfolios and strategic initiatives in a corporate environment.

Role overview:

  • Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 depending on experience
  • Annual bonus based on company performance

  • Hybrid working: 2-3 days onsite in South Wales near Cardiff (free parking)
