Are you a strategic digital and technology leader looking to make a meaningful impact?

We’re partnering with a leading mental health awareness charity and membership body to recruit a Head of Digital & IT – a pivotal senior leadership position driving digital transformation and operational excellence across the organisation.

With many members and a national reputation for setting professional standards in mental health support across the UK, this organisation is on a journey to modernise and innovate – and you’ll be at the heart of that mission.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Digital & Transformation, the Head of Digital & IT will lead the development and delivery of a cohesive digital and technology strategy. You’ll manage a capable team of specialists across five critical areas: Internal IT, Data & Security, Enterprise Systems, CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), and the Website.

Your remit will cover everything from digital infrastructure to strategic supplier management, with a strong focus on improving member experience, operational efficiency, and organisational impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver a digital strategy that supports the charity’s business plan and mission.
  • Oversee IT systems, networks, and internal support to ensure high performance and hybrid working capability.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Manage the CRM (MS Dynamics), driving user adoption, integrations, and process optimisation.
  • Own the website strategy and development roadmap, ensuring a seamless and accessible digital experience.
  • Manage third-party suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality delivery.
  • Lead and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports, embedding a collaborative and high-performance culture.

About You

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior digital or IT leadership role, ideally within the charity, membership, or non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, CRM (ideally MS Dynamics), IT infrastructure, and website management.
  • Excellent commercial acumen – confident in budgeting, procurement, and ROI evaluation.
  • A strategic thinker who can also get into the operational detail.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – able to collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experienced in managing supplier relationships and external technology partners.

Why Join?

  • Be part of an organisation with a powerful mission: promoting mental health and setting professional standards in therapy.
  • Join at a transformative time, with the opportunity to shape and deliver meaningful digital change.
  • Enjoy a collaborative, inclusive culture that values innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Flexible hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package.
