At Study Group Digital Learning (SGDL), we deliver our own portfolio of Digital Academic Programmes at International Foundation and Pre-Masters levels. We support the broader Study Group network by delivering Digital English Programmes and digital student experience products. Our focus also includes contributing to new digital products and learning enhancement initiatives.

The Head of Digital Business Programmes will provide leadership and vision to deliver excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, and enhancement recognized by the QAA. You will support the development of innovative, quality-assured digital pedagogy for Study Group, lead and support our digital business programme team, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure students meet progression requirements for partner universities.

You will oversee the current SGDL Digital International Foundation Programmes: Business Management (Level 3) and Digital Pre-Masters: Business Management (Level 6). You will lead the development of the academic tutorial programme for Digital Business programmes and any new programmes added to the portfolio, including humanities or social science subjects. This role is remote, with teaching responsibilities only as needed for cover or development purposes.

You will also be involved in training stakeholders on SGDL programmes, participating in programme reviews or new digital programme development, and promoting digital academic programmes within and outside the Study Group network.

The ideal candidate will have recent successful programme management experience within secondary, further, or higher education in business subjects, academic line management experience, and proven ability to engage with multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, a passion for digital learning, and a commitment to global education are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating and implementing SGDL’s vision for continuous improvement and outstanding student outcomes.
  • Developing programmes aligned with Study Group Digital Learning’s strategic aims to maximize student recruitment.
  • Contributing to planning and development in HR, academic quality, and programme delivery.
  • Identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Managing academic standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Supporting curriculum delivery and digital pedagogy development.
  • Teaching classes if required for cover or development.
  • Training staff and stakeholders, and participating in programme reviews and development.
  • Enhancing the profile of digital academic programmes locally and externally.
  • Managing daily issues effectively and efficiently.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree and postgraduate qualification in a business subject (essential)
  • Teaching qualification (essential)
  • Leadership and management experience in teaching and learning (essential)
  • Experience leading teams to achieve high student performance (essential)
  • Experience teaching business to international students in the UK
  • Experience with online delivery and digital platforms (essential)
  • Experience planning complex courses and leading teacher training initiatives
