We are recruiting a Head of Design (Water and Wastewater) to join our Water Consultancy business.

RPS Group is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the water and wastewater industry, committed to sustainability and efficiency. We seek an experienced Head of Design to lead our solutions team and drive design innovation.

About The Role:

The Head of Design will lead the team in developing solutions for the water industry, requiring expertise in engineering, design methodologies, and regulations. The candidate should have a proven management record in design processes and team collaboration.

About The Team:

Our Water Consulting team comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts supporting asset management and operational strategy development for water industry clients, emphasizing innovation and teamwork.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the design team, set goals, conduct performance reviews, and promote professional growth.
• Design Strategy and Innovation: Develop strategies that foster innovation, collaborate on product improvements, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire design process, ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with stakeholders for compliance.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Maintain quality protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct audits for continuous improvement.
• Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Support business development, build relationships, and represent the company at industry events.

Who we’re looking for:

• Experience in the water industry with leadership in design roles.
• Knowledge of design frameworks, CAD, simulation tools, and industry standards.
