Job: Head of Design and Technology

School: Secondary Academy, Lewisham, Southeast London

Salary: Enhanced MPS/UPS £38,836 - £60,154 per annum (inner London) + TLR 2

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Start date: September 2025

Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary academy in Lewisham, inner London, looking for a Head of Design and Technology.

In this role, you will lead a small Design and Technology team and develop the school's DT curriculum from KS3 to KS4 and eventually to KS5. This position could suit an experienced DT teacher ready to take on a Head of Department role.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Good honours degree in a Design and Technology subject

  • An outstanding classroom practitioner with an excellent track record of progress and results
