End date: 5/6 month contract finishing at end of November

Hybrid: 3 days in our Paddington offices, 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Contract type: Fixed term, full time (5 days)

Working hours: 40 hours a week including a paid lunch hour. Flexible start (between 8am and 10am and finish (between 4pm and 6pm) times.

Our team in the UK has grown to more than 45 people and we’re not stopping there, we’re looking for a superstar Head of Design to cover a period of paternity leave.

The Role:

  • You will Lead and mentor the Creative Team in development and delivery of the global brand direction across all channels
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to strategise & direct long term brand plans
  • You will combine artistic understanding with knowledge of the MOTH brand principles & strategic direction. Ensure messages are strengthened by conveying meaning visually, as well as through the accompanying words
  • You will own responsibility for MOTH's creative direction with a world-class design team

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the global creative direction and visual storytelling with a forward thinking strategic brand lens.
  • Shape the global MOTH identity and elevate our presence through strategic artistic direction and creative solutions. In both the UK & US.
  • Lead the development of creative concepts and visual strategies, aligning with our brand platform and marketing objectives.
  • Lead, mentor and manage our in-house creative team of designers and content creators, working collaboratively across all departments.
  • Oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, from concept ideation, development and design to production and implementation across various channels and touch points.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales & external agencies, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and styling that align with our campaign objectives.
  • Translate brand principles and storytelling into visual narratives that resonate with our audience and differentiate our brand.
  • Set the direction for photo and video shoots externally & in-house.
  • Be the guardian of our design principles & art direction. Ensuring brand consistency and integrity across all creative assets
  • Develop our brand strategy.
  • Prepare and manage global design budgets and timelines.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years Creative Leadership experience in the drinks trade or FMCG.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage and mentor creative teams and agencies
  • Creative visionary, who loves exploring new ideas and owning and building our brand strategy
  • Expertise in Adobe Suite and other creative platforms.
  • Experience managing in-house design teams and delivering projects on time and within budget whilst
  • Excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • You care about the details, love a good brand, and probably have strong opinions on type.
  • Knowledge of the US market would be an advantage.
