Job Description:

My client is a highly regarded regional law firm based in Leeds, servicing a regional, national, and international client base. The firm has built a reputation for delivering top-notch legal services within a collegiate and supportive work environment. It is attracting senior lawyers from many of the international law firms and is quickly gaining a sterling reputation across various departments.

This key appointment is to spearhead a planning offering in Leeds. Suitable candidates will be at Legal Director level seeking their first Partner role or existing Partners looking to establish a new department.

Working closely with the Real Estate team, you will be adept at all aspects of planning. You should have significant experience advising on planning strategy, drafting and negotiating s106 Agreements and Infrastructure agreements, especially under the Highways Act, development and infrastructure schemes for residential and commercial use, across brownfield and greenfield sites. Additionally, experience with compulsory purchase, rights of way, highways, infrastructure projects, etc., would be valuable. Expertise acting for a range of clients, including national and regional developers, the public and private sectors, is of interest.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior planning lawyer eager to lead a new department within an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking practice. Both full-time and 4-day week planning lawyers are of interest.

If you wish to join a highly collegiate firm making waves in Leeds, please send your CV to Adele Callaghan or email to arrange a call to discuss the role. This role is only suitable for those qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Please note: If you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
