Are you a dynamic and passionate MFL teacher ready to lead a dynamic department? Are you excited by the opportunity to shape language learning across Key Stages 3 to 5 and inspire a love for languages to young people?
We are seeking an outstanding Head of Modern Foreign Languages to join our thriving and supportive secondary school in Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to lead and develop our MFL provision, with a key focus on driving excellence in teaching and learning across the department.

About the Role:
· Lead and manage the MFL department (currently offering French and Spanish).
· Oversee curriculum development and implementation across KS3-KS5.
· Support and develop staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high expectations.
· Monitor and track student progress, ensuring excellent outcomes for all learners.
· Promote cultural awareness and global citizenship through innovative teaching and extracurricular opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:
· Is an experienced and enthusiastic MFL teacher with a proven track record of strong classroom practice.
· Has experience (or a strong readiness) to take on leadership responsibility.
· Is committed to raising student achievement and developing a passion for languages.
· Brings energy, vision, and a positive, proactive approach to department leadership.
