Carlton le Willows Academy are looking to appoint a Head of Department History to join our academy in September 2025, on a full time, permanent basis.

An exciting place to learn, the Academy boasts a brand new state of the art building and a purpose-built sixth form centre. There is currently more work ongoing in our West block to create new science labs and purpose built classrooms all designed to ensure a bright future for the generations of students to come.

Results
With a consistent record of high academic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performing schools in the area. In summer 2024, 80% of students achieved a Grade 5 or above in English, with 63% of students achieving Grade 5 or above in Maths. With an overall Progress score of +0.51 and 60% of students achieving Grade 5 or above in both English and Maths we are placed well above similar schools nationally.
A level students in our high performing sixth form also celebrated strong results with 90% of the cohort securing a place at their first choice university, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
