Quantum Scholars is working alongside a well-established and ambitious secondary school in Slough, seeking a talented and dynamic Head of Department for Economics and Business. This full-time, permanent position starts in September 2025 and offers an excellent leadership opportunity in a forward-thinking school.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Economics and Business department, ensuring high-quality teaching across all key stages (Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5).
2. Develop and implement departmental vision aligned with school goals.
3. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking.
4. Monitor student progress and provide necessary interventions.
5. Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
6. Foster a positive team environment and support professional development.
7. Maintain up-to-date curriculum content to prepare students for exams and beyond.
8. Promote extracurricular activities like business clubs and enterprise projects.
9. Collaborate with senior leadership to align school-wide objectives.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Economics, Business, or related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Economics and Business at GCSE and A-Level.
• Proven success in teaching and improving student achievement.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
