Job description

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Head of Demand & Supply Planning to take ownership of the Demand Planning & Supply process. This role will build an accurate Net Revenue forecast by gathering market intelligence data, working closely with Local and Global teams to ensure product availability, high service levels, and optimized global inventory levels. You will also lead the local Sales & Operational Planning in the local market.

This role is vital to the success of our Retail and E-commerce channels across multiple brands and will coordinate across several teams including Demand Planning, Global Supply Planning, Logistics, and Commercial teams.

What you'll get to do
  1. Conduct monthly Demand Consensus meetings with Key Account Managers, Brand Managers, and Customer Development to review promotional plans and gather market intelligence data to forecast at SKU level.
  2. Prepare and present S&OP results in the monthly meeting.
  3. Review KPIs including forecast accuracy results.
  4. Reconcile forecast valuation with the budget and explain differences.
  5. Review SKU classification based on importance in the local market.
  6. Review parameters of the model to build the base forecast.
  7. Identify and clean impacts of anomalies and unpredicted events.
  8. Analyze market, brand, and product line trends.
  9. Review sell-in and sell-out data by retailer, analyze retailer stock levels, and market sell-out data.
  10. Collaborate to maximize efficiencies in the supply chain.
  11. Work with key retailers to build joint forecasts during peak trading periods.
  12. Review service levels and forecast accuracy based on joint plans.
  13. Build and maintain relationships with Local teams and relevant Global departments for clear information flow.
  14. Understand retailer strategies by working closely with KAMs.
  15. Follow brand and plan evolutions in collaboration with Marketing.
  16. Monitor retailer sell-through, promotional mix, and key priorities with Customer Development.
  17. Work with Finance to build the phased Net Revenue Budget by product line and align understanding.
  18. Support Customer Service with stock availability and Supply Planning logistics.
  19. Provide Global Demand planners with local market information affecting forecasts, explaining changes.
  20. Liaise with Global Supply Planning to meet local requirements and share best practices with Local Demand Planners.
  21. Plan quantities for new launches based on analysis of launch patterns and cycles.
  22. React to changes in sell-in based on success levels and adjust forecasts accordingly.
  23. Review launch and promotional success with sales and marketing teams.
  24. Track leftover promotional stock and coordinate with sales and marketing to exit stock.
  25. Ensure maximum availability and optimal stock coverage for the UK warehouse.
  26. Mitigate OOS and stock lows proactively, ensuring sufficient inbound shipments.
  27. We'd love to meet you if you have
  • Experience in supply planning, demand planning, and financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of planning, operations, logistics, and finance, preferably in luxury goods or FMCG industries.
  • Postgraduate qualification such as MBA or ACA is desirable.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Ability to build trust with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strategic vision and capability to challenge and recommend solutions.
  • Strong management and communication skills, team-oriented.
  • Excellent analytical skills and accuracy.
