Your role
You will lead the group's Data Management Strategy, encompassing approaches to Data Quality, Data Cataloguing, Metadata & Lineage, Master Data Management, and Reference Data. You will develop and implement data modelling practices, establish a Centre of Excellence for data management with Agile methodology, and create a Data Management Council for RSA.
You will build a team of Data Management specialists that partner with the business, technology, and architecture functions across the group, managing critical data entities throughout their lifecycle.
You will have extensive leadership experience in establishing a data-fluent organization, including data governance and quality, preferably within financial services or insurance. Practical experience in data modelling, data architecture, data foundation, and governance is essential. You should be skilled at stakeholder management, influencing decisions, and bridging technology with business needs.
You will possess knowledge of data management technologies and tools, including experience with Databricks, cloud-based data tooling (especially Azure), and ideally hold a DAMA certification.
