Job Description

The Head of Data Business Partnering (BI, ID&F & ECS) role is accountable for the ongoing performance of data projects that support the BI, ID&F and ECS departments at Experian. The realisation of data office strategies for both areas, and the prioritisation and delivery of the enhancement roadmap. You will use your network to influence partners in and out of the Data Office . You will work with product teams from around the UK&I business, to ensure the data supports our product strategy, and the maximum value from the data is realised. You will be a trusted advisor to the BU leadership teams that they support, joining the dots between the opportunities presented by the BU and the data available to the UK&I business. You will manage the prioritisation of developments relating to their data domain, creating compelling business cases for change, and ensuring the value is delivered following investment expectations.

This a Nottingham based Hybrid position reporting to the Head of Data Value and Delivery

Main Responsibilities:-

  • Strategic Direction: Develop operational and tactical plans that support strategic direction, identifying dependencies, resources and risks
  • Responsibility for tracking success and meeting or surpassing personal and team goals, taking measures to ensure work is completed when the situation calls for it
  • Service Excellence: Be an ambassador for customers, consumers and Corporate Responsibility and able to hold the customer / consumer in mind when making decisions and ensuring the fair and reasonable treatment of all consumers irrespective of whether they are Experian UK clients or customers or not
  • Feedback: In-depth experience coaching others in beliefs & behaviours for personal effectiveness leading the way in viewing setbacks as learning opportunities. Define plans for nurturing talent for retention and growth
  • Build and sustain trust and respect with others, internally and externally, through deep professional relationships
  • Communicate with Impact: Convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Inviting opposing or differing points of view and identifying the communication approach to have the greatest impact by knowing the audience
  • Teamwork: Experience working as part of a diverse team to create a climate that values and rewards initiative and achievement of results, and fosters a diverse and collaborative work spirit across the organisation
  • Creativity & Innovation: Can create a climate that cultivates imagination, new ideas and experimentation and directs creativity toward resolution of challenges and constraints, both internally and for customers, to ensure that Experian is market leading
Qualifications
  • Leadership and People Management: Background in leadership roles coaching less experienced managers in people management.
  • Client Focus: Experience working directly with customers, becoming a trusted advisor for them and promoting an unyielding focus on identifying customer needs with solutions and propositions.
  • Commercial & Financial Experience: Knowledge of business concepts and tools and can demonstrate foundation of business fundamentals, measurement and business finance. Knowledge of the organisation's vision, structure, values, operating principles and code of ethics. Can develop business cases for own function and explain issues and trends of own department to other departments
  • Continued professional development at a high level in leadership, data governance, data ethics, data innovation
