Build a data function from scratch and shape the future of a growing professional services business.
Are you a hands-on data leader who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and making things happen? We're working with a well-established professional services organisation that's investing heavily in data, analytics and automation. They're looking for a Head of Data and Analytics to take ownership of their data landscape, create a clear strategy and deliver tangible business value from day one.
This is an opportunity for a Head of Data and Analytics to join at the start of a major data journey. Initially, you'll be a standalone expert, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery whilst building trusted relationships across the business. You’ll own the development of the organisation's data and analytics capability. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify opportunities and deliver solutions that improve decision making and efficiency.
You'll develop the data strategy, oversee reporting and analytics, build dashboards, improve data quality and create robust processes around data governance. You'll also drive automation initiatives using low code technologies to streamline workflows and save time across the business.
This Head of Data and Analytics position requires someone comfortable operating at every level. One day you'll be presenting insights to senior leadership, the next you'll be writing SQL queries, building Power BI dashboards or improving data pipelines. Over time, you'll have the chance to develop a team, shape future hiring plans and help establish data as a core strategic function across the organisation.
Depending on experience and suitability of location, they’re offering a salary of between £80,000 and £120,000. There's also an annual Christmas bonus equivalent to one week's salary, with further discretionary bonus opportunities linked to company performance.
Alongside this, you'll receive private medical insurance, income protection, life assurance, enhanced pension contributions and 25 days' holiday plus Christmas closure arrangements. While the role will initially require a strong office presence in Watford (5 days per week during probation), there is flexibility to move towards a hybrid working pattern as the function becomes established.
