Job summary

Cyber UK is recruiting Head of Cyber Resilience and Cloud to lead cyber operations, threat reduction and resilience across cloud and on‑premises environments. Reporting to the CISO, you’ll drive strategic initiatives, lead a specialist team and coordinate responses to major incidents.

You will shape resilience strategy, governance and testing, engaging senior stakeholders and external partners to continually strengthen security posture in a highly regulated financial services setting.

Qualifications

• Senior cyber security leadership experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong background in SOC, SIEM, threat intelligence, incident response and red teaming.
• Experience managing cyber incidents and crisis management across enterprise environments and supply chains.
• Proven cloud and on-premises architecture understanding, with DevSecOps focus.
• Experience in regulated Financial Services environments.
• Familiarity with NIST, NIST 800-53, COBIT, DORA and operational resilience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber resilience strategy across cloud and enterprise technology environments.
• Oversee cyber operations including SOC, SIEM, threat intelligence, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Collaborate with the CISO to implement strategic initiatives for resilience and cyber maturity.
• Act as senior lead during cyber incidents, coordinating containment and lessons learned.
• Governance across cloud security, cyber recovery, DLP and vulnerability management.
• Develop threat intel capabilities with industry partners and communities.
• Define and deliver resilience testing strategies (pentest, red team, crisis sim).
• Build cyber scenario libraries for severe threat events.
• Identify control gaps with internal teams and third parties; implement improvements.
• Support regulatory compliance and engagement across cyber and resilience requirements.
