This position is based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.

Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our dynamic, expanding Cyber team in London reporting into the International Head of Cyber. In this role you will support the development, marketing relationship management (both client and broker) of our growing book of Cyber business. You will help to build and expand the UK and Ireland Cyber account in line with our Everest International plans and underwriting strategy, whilst maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit and delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working within the authority granted, writing a profitable book of Cyber business per the Everest International Underwriting guidelines

  • Expand and maintain existing broker relationships and other sources of distribution, and developing new relationships, where this is consistent with the objectives set in the Business Plan

  • Working with the International Head of Cyber in expanding the current product range to allow Everest to compete with the market leaders in the sector

  • Quoting and Leading the placements of Cyber clients, and effectively managing any specific MGA clients

  • To refer as appropriate risks exceeding prescribed underwriting authority

  • Develop business through execution of new ideas in addition to utilising all the available Everest resources to grow, develop and maintain a profitable book of Cyber business

  • Underwriting business from the Irish market, on a centre of excellence basis, that is provided via the Financial Lines Underwriters based in Europe

  • To liaise with the Claims Manager on claims related issues and participate in account and management reviews

  • To participate in the underwriting peer review process at the weekly and monthly underwriting meetings, as required

  • To assist with the completion and review of strategic and underwriting guidelines & pricing models

  • To contribute to the regular analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures

  • To assist in the improvement of the management information systems, rating models, underwriting manuals, service standards, marketing materials, website and risk management and claims functions

  • Effectively communicate with management on all issues both within and outside the Unit as needed

  • Marketing Everest International in the UK through contributing to articles and representing Everest at conferences as speaker or panel member

  • Collaborate with Everest colleagues in the International office locations, as well as in North America

  • To monitor and keep abreast of changes in underwriting, regulation and compliance

  • Work with the International Head of Cyber to build, develop and mentor a team which can deliver strategic goals outlined either above or by executive management

Professional Experience

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Underwriting Cyber products in the UK and European insurance marketplaces

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

  • Management experience preferred
