Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Head of Customs Compliance, Helicopters, to lead the UK customs compliance strategy within the Trade Compliance Function. The role involves advising Leonardo Helicopters functions and ensuring compliance with UK and international export control laws.

The position requires on-site presence at Yeovil three days a week with hybrid working and some travel. Reporting to the Head of Customs Compliance UK, you will partner with the Helicopters division, manage HMRC

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or possess a professional qualification with 5+ years UK customs/licensing/audit experience.
• Knowledge of UK Export Control laws and regulations.
• Experience in regulatory audits.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to support decision-making.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Execute central UK Customs Compliance strategy.
• Lead Helicopters division partnerships and steerco.
• Manage HMRC discussions at unit level and act as contact for new products/contracts.
• Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations and internal policies; mitigate risks.
• Deliver customs training to divisional stakeholders.
