Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Interim Head of Credit Risk with strong mortgages experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:
  • A career history within mortgages
  • Practical experience managing credit risk through the credit lifecycle
  • Experience with expert and judgmental lending approaches, as well as portfolio/modelled approaches to managing credit risk
  • Experience developing, implementing, and embedding risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Experience enhancing management information capabilities for oversight and decision-making
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and understanding of UK banking/financial trends and upcoming regulatory changes
  • Experience leading continuous improvements in business-as-usual activities
  • Experience presenting to Boards, Non-executive directors, or regulators
  • Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams and the organization
