Job summary

Cleo is building the world's first AI financial assistant, and we’re hiring a Head of Data Science to lead credit performance measurement within our Risk & Payments pillar. This player-coach role blends hands-on analysis with team leadership to own the function's output.

You'll design the risk metric framework, monitor arrears and loss metrics, and collaborate with Risk Modelling to translate model health into policy and product decisions while growing the team.

Qualifications

• Experience owning analyses end-to-end, from framing questions to shipping changes.
• Hands-on with predictive models in credit, fraud, or similar.
• Fluent in interpreting AUC/Gini, calibration, PSI/CSI, and drift.
• Experience managing analysts or data scientists and developing people.

Responsibilities

• Own credit performance measurement and maintain risk metric framework.
• Bridge model health and business decisions with Risk Modelling.
• Lead root-cause analysis on issues like arrears spikes and yield compression.
• Support policy and decisioning with evaluation frameworks for policy changes.
• Manage and develop a team of Credit Data Scientists and Analysts.
