BMI is seeking a Head of Country Risk based in our London office.

The successful candidate will lead our country risk division, producing high-quality political and economic forecasts globally. They will support our commercial teams through regular engagement with clients and prospects, and manage a large, global team of analysts.

We’ll Count on You To:

Leadership & Management:

  • Manage five regional Country Risk teams distributed globally.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, dynamism, and openness to change.
  • Ensure successful execution of all projects involving the Research team, from system updates to new content launches.
  • Act as a senior leader within BMI.

Content Delivery:

  • Set standards for timely content delivery across teams.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of country data, forecasts, and analyses.
  • Prioritize topics and content collaboratively with the Chief Economist and Industry Head.

Commercial Activity:

  • Support engagement with commercial teams.
  • Present key global Country Risk views externally.

Thought Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Economist to foster internal excellence and mentor the team.
  • Plan and develop thought leadership content throughout the year.
  • Build strong relationships across Fitch Group and with commercial colleagues.
  • Serve as a leadership nexus among various heads and the Chief Economist.

Product Development:

  • Maintain a pipeline of content enhancements.
  • Lead execution of new products related to CR content.

What You Need to Have:

  • 10-15+ years of experience in country risk analysis, including at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead large, high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
