Job summary

Salisbury District Hospital is seeking a Lead Costing and Productivity Accountant to manage the costing framework, drive productivity insights, and lead a team within the Group Finance function. The role focuses on patient-level costing, service line reporting, and benchmarking to support strategic decision-making.

The post holder will develop costing intelligence, collaborate with clinicians and managers, and enhance data tools (Power BI) to improve cost efficiency across the BSW Hospitals

Qualifications

• CCAB or CIMA qualified.
• Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• HFMA membership.
• Acute NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the Group costing framework and governance.
• Coordinate major costing programmes across Finance, Informatics and operations.
• Provide leadership to the Costing team, including performance management and staff development.
• Ensure timely national cost submissions and robust, auditable costing data.
• Represent the Group in regional and national costing networks.
