Inside IR35, 4 days per week (Mon-Thursday), Flex on Location, London, Midlands, North, Head of Corporate Responsibility, Net zero, Sustainability Strategy, Programme Leadership

My leading construction client is looking for an Interim Head of Corporate Responsibility. You will be leading the work related to the refresh of the Group’s Sustainability Strategy and overseeing an important Framework by monitoring, implementing, and measuring the impact of a comprehensive programme of initiatives that will ensure the business meets its commitments and targets. You will develop a coordinated sustainability plan and drive its execution by collaborating with key groups across Finance, Design & Technical, Corporate Affairs & Communications, HR, Planning, and Sales & Marketing.

You will regularly review the risks and opportunities facing the business across all sustainability areas and recommend changes to the Strategy and Framework, ensuring proactive management of business benefits. You must have a proven background in developing and leading stakeholder engagement plans that secure and leverage commitment and support for the business’ sustainability ambitions both internally and externally.

You will contribute technical knowledge on sustainability issues such as corporate responsibility, benchmarks and indices, resource efficiency, social value, human rights, etc. Communicate with and educate the business on sustainability topics to secure senior-level commitment and support for integrating sustainable development into core business processes and decision-making. Additionally, you will proactively lead sustainability insights gathering, including research and analytics, to inform the Group Strategy.
