Job summary

Blackstone Solicitors Limited seeks a Head of Corporate Law to lead the corporate team, manage complex casework, and grow the firm’s corporate client portfolio. You will guide strategy, ensure service excellence, and mentor a high-calibre team across M&A, governance, and contracts.

You will report to the owner/MD and play a key role in business development, client relationship management, and strategic planning to drive growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE in corporate law with leadership experience
• Proven success in managing complex corporate work and client portfolios
• Experience in business development and client acquisition
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic planning abilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• In-depth knowledge of corporate law including M&A and contracts

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of corporate solicitors and paralegals
• Oversee complex casework and provide technical guidance
• Recruit and develop high-calibre legal talent
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of corporate clients across matters like M&A, governance and contracts
• Drive business development and contribute to billing and financial performance
• Ensure compliance with SRA requirements and firm policies
