Job summary

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior professional to lead the contracting function within the Finance team. You will set contracting strategy, lead negotiations with commissioners and oversee contract performance, income and risk, working across the BSW Group and Integrated Care System.

Travel and rotation may be required. The postholder will be a qualified accountant with NHS contracting knowledge, capable of influencing at senior levels and guiding a contracts team to deliver

• Qualified accountant with NHS contracting knowledge.
• Experience as NHS contracting, commissioning or healthcare finance professional.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the contracting strategy and development roadmap.
• Lead complex contract negotiations with commissioners and system partners.
• Oversee contract performance, income and governance.
• Ensure robust income forecasting, reconciliation and income recovery.
• Provide expert advice on contractual, commercial and financial risks.
• Lead contract performance reporting and assurance.
• Support implementation of national payment mechanisms and reforms.
• Develop relationships across the Trust, BSW Group and ICS partners.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Contracts Team.

Job description

Senior role leading the contracting function within the Finance team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. Cross-system work across the BSW Group and Integrated Care System, plus leading a team, sets it apart, and travel and rotation may be required.
