- 39 hours per week

To oversee, direct process improvement teams to help achieve business goals and report on progress to the senior management.

Essential Responsibilities
- Must maintain knowledge of current Lean manufacturing processes and tools to educate critical people within the organisation on suggested approaches to improve the company’s machine, products and processes.
- To manage and be responsible for a team of PIE's on a day to day basis.
- Lead training to implement identified strategies for improvement.
- Prepare technical reports, case study documentation and training manuals.
- Focus on continuous improvement to eliminate short and long-term problems.
- Provide leadership to build commitment and understanding of lean principles, such as six sigma and Kaizen to accomplish the improvement goals for the organisation.
- Support & Lead constructive change by eliminating barriers to team success.
- Facilitate the development of process models/maps in as is/o be formals.
- Facilitate the setting of priorities, objectives, goals, measures and metrics for process improvement projects, ensuring that these are monitored, controlled and sustainable.
- Manage the team chartering process
- Ensure that a project plan is developed, agreed and approved for each defined project.
- Assist in the selection of team members.
- Specify the appropriate lean process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Work with site management to plan and lead improvement projects, involving executive management and stakeholders in improvement projects.
- Communicate lessons learnt and best practice from improvement projects across divisions.
Position Requirements
Academic:
- BSc in a relevant discipline i.e industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or engineering technology.
- Six Sigma Certification from a reputable manufacturing organisation.
- Formal training/certification in lean manufacturing
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of facilitating and training a technical work force.
- Proven experience in implementing Lean Six Sigma manufacturing tools in a manufacturing environment.
Key Competencies:
