Head of Content product management, based in US or UK, with direct reports starting with three (3), reports to Head of Product.
To lead the development of products that will transform the maritime industry, specifically the Content that fuels the Ocean Platform. This role involves owning the full product lifecycle—from ideation to go-to-market execution. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the company to define and prioritize product initiatives, ensuring that we deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions that drive both customer satisfaction and financial results. This role requires experience and knowledge of productizing content, ideally eLearning content. The ideal candidate has experience with maritime learning and assessment content as well as regulatory and compliance content.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business value assessments and conduct ROI analysis for new product initiatives, using time effectively, whilst leveraging existing processes.
- Prioritize product features based on market research, customer needs, and company strategy.
- Develop product roadmaps and ensure alignment with the overall business and R&D teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders early to create and align strong business cases that balance cost, benefit, and market opportunities.
- Curate and continuously update content needed for Learning & Assessment, Governance-Regulatory-Compliance (GRC), and other solutions/products that require regulatory compliance documentation.
- Maximize efficiency and minimize cost associated with content curation.
- Contribute to sales and operations training.
Definition of Success
- Achieve revenue targets for HCM and GRC solutions.
- Zero audit findings and non-compliance by customers.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Maritime Studies). An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with the maritime industry and/or SaaS products for logistics, fleet management, or similar sectors is highly desirable.
- Required Expertise: Extensive experience in product management, ideally in the maritime, software, or related industries, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex, customer-centric products.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders. Expertise in prioritizing product roadmaps to balance strategy with customer needs and the ability to say no to ensure focus on long-term product vision and company goals.
- Strategic Vision: Experience in defining and communicating bold product visions and roadmaps aligned with company goals, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through complex decisions.
- Customer Centric Focus: Expertise in customer discovery and research to understand user needs and pain points, translating feedback into actionable strategies that drive growth and satisfaction.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset, assessing market trends, defining KPIs, and measuring product success. Experience working with engineering teams in agile environments, with a solid understanding of product development processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and creating compelling product narratives and go-to-market strategies.
