About the Role

A leading membership-based organisation is hiring a Head of Content Marketing to build and lead its content strategy across multiple channels. Reporting to the CMO, this role will shape how the brand communicates with its audience—creating engaging, insight-led content that drives awareness, acquisition, and retention.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for developing a high-performing content function, integrating storytelling with strategy to deliver business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a cohesive content strategy and tone of voice aligned with brand and business goals.
  • Lead a multi-channel content calendar, integrating seasonal campaigns, member stories, and evergreen themes.
  • Oversee content production across blogs, video, email, and social, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Build internal capability and manage external content partners as needed.
  • Leverage user-generated content and member stories to build brand connection and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with brand, social, partnerships, and product teams to align messaging and maximise value.
  • Use data and member insights to optimise content performance and drive measurable results.
  • Stay ahead of trends and tools in content marketing and apply innovative approaches where relevant.

Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years in content marketing, editorial, or storytelling roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong narrative skills with experience engaging broad, diverse audiences.
  • Data-driven with a track record of using content to drive acquisition and engagement.
  • Skilled in content planning, production, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to commission compelling stories.
