The Conduit is a London-based members club and home for people passionate about achieving positive social, environmental and economic change. Our community -- comprised of changemakers across business, philanthropy, government and civil society -- shares a belief that the world’s most pressing problems are better understood as opportunities waiting for entrepreneurial solutions. From our vibrant club in Covent Garden, we curate catalytic events, publish bold ideas, and spark the collaborations that turn ambition into impact. We don’t just host conversations—we help make change happen.

Our programming spotlights critical social and
environmental issues—including climate change, financial resilience,
sustainability, health systems and economic justice—alongside a vibrant mix of
cultural and literary events. Our media, which includes our weekly newsletter
the Radical Realist, reaches over 80,000 impact professionals and changemakers
around the globe.

Role
Summary

The Conduit is seeking a strategic and creative leader to serve as our
Head of Content, shaping our editorial vision, thought leadership, and live
programming. This role ensures that our storytelling — across publications,
convenings, and digital outputs — is compelling, coherent, and commercially
resonant.

You will lead the development of The
Conduit’s Solutions Agenda – our annual editorial framework for all our impact
work and programming -- drive weekly editorial publications, oversee the design
of content for conferences and events and work closely with our Impact,
Marketing, and Partnerships teams. With five major conference forums a year and
over 150 events featuring some of the world’s most celebrated thinkers and
speakers, our content and convenings serve as both the backbone
of our member engagement and the driver of our larger brand reach and impact.

Your mandate: turn insight into influence and
elevate our narrative outputs to advance both our mission and our business
goals.

Key
Responsibilities

Editorial
Strategy & Thought Leadership

  • Define and lead The Conduit’s annual Solutions Agenda, setting
editorial priorities that inform our content, convenings, and
    publications.
  • Build and chair a cross-functional Editorial Board, aligning
internal teams and external voices on key themes and sector trends.
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape public positioning and
    develop high impact thought leadership.
  • Oversee original content creation — from long-form interviews and
podcasts to data-driven insights and white papers.
  • Design content formats that are both mission-aligned and
market-ready — including branded editorial, proprietary reports, and
    sponsor-ready convenings.
  • Work closely with Marketing to align content strategy with
distribution, audience growth, and engagement goals.
  • Identify and develop new revenue-generating opportunities across
    editorial and event formats.

Publishing
& Insight Generation

  • Collaborate with our Impact and Partnerships teams to embed
publishing strategies into funded projects and programs.
  • Translate complex insights into compelling public-facing outputs —
such as briefings, landscape reviews, and field-building resources.
  • Lead synthesis and storytelling efforts across programs to surface
    key themes, opportunities, and insights.

Live
Content & Conferences

  • Oversee content development for all live programming — including 5
major conferences annually, summits, salons, and member events.
  • Curate event themes, shape session agendas, and ensure editorial
    coherence across all formats.
  • Translate convening outputs into enduring content (e.g., reports,
    podcasts, digital briefings).

Team Leadership
& Workflow Management

  • Lead a multidisciplinary content team, including internal staff and
freelance writers, editors, designers, and producers.
  • Manage content planning processes, calendars, and contributor
    workflows.
  • Maintain editorial quality, consistency, and alignment with The
    Conduit’s brand voice.

Skills
& Experience

  • 10+ years in editorial, content strategy, or live programming —
ideally within mission-driven media, public policy, or convening
    platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead complex content portfolios across multiple
    formats and channels.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering
    content that drives business outcomes.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and narrative development skills.
  • Deep knowledge of sustainability, impact, and systems change
    topics.
  • Highly collaborative, with experience working across
    cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and balancing strategic vision with
    hands-on execution.
