Job Description:

A groundbreaking organisation is seeking a senior professional with deep experience working within or advising or investing in major (£500m+ turnover) food companies in the UK. We need someone ready for a bold challenge to harness the insights and energy of senior professionals who are committed to their employers and their industries and also realise that their industry needs drastic change.

This role combines the excitement of building something entirely new with the satisfaction of driving real change in one of our most critical sectors.

You'll be working with senior executives from major UK food companies – the people who see supply chain vulnerabilities firsthand but struggle to address them within competitive constraints. Your job is to create safe, confidential spaces where these professionals can collaborate on industry-wide challenges, turning individual frustration into collective action.

Recent events have shown how fragile our food systems really are. Climate whistleblowers from major UK food companies have warned of "wishful thinking" on climate risks, supply chain catastrophes that could overshadow the pandemic, and resilience planning based on "false reassurances." The professionals you'll work with are these very insiders – and they're ready to drive change.

This isn't about attacking industry; it's about helping it survive and thrive. You'll facilitate sensitive conversations between competitors, protect anonymity while amplifying collective voice, and translate insider insights into strategic campaigns. Think coordinated shareholder actions, regulatory briefings, and industry-wide resilience planning.

We need someone with at least 10 years' experience and deep knowledge of the UK food industry, either through senior FMCG consulting at major firms or in-house roles at £500m+ companies. You must be a natural facilitator comfortable with high-trust environments, entrepreneurial enough to build from scratch, and emotionally resilient to working in conflict situations.

This is hands-on work with significant growth potential. You'll recruit insiders, manage partner relationships, and help develop methodology that could reshape how industries address systemic challenges. Most importantly, you must genuinely believe that industry transformation is critical to addressing social and environmental challenges.

We're committed to building a diverse team and strongly encourage applications from underrepresented backgrounds. If you're excited by the prospect of pioneering new approaches to industry change, we'd love to hear from you.
