Contract type: Permanent

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £54,000–£61,000

About the Role

An Ofsted-rated 'Good' college in Greater Manchester is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Construction to lead its multi-trade department. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Curriculum Manager or experienced leader to step into a strategic role with the autonomy to shape the department’s future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and innovate across a diverse curriculum including Brickwork, Carpentry & Joinery, Painting & Decorating, Plastering, Plumbing, Gas, and Electrical Installation.
2. Drive improvements in learner outcomes and departmental performance.
3. Manage operations across two closely located campuses.
4. Collaborate with the Assistant Principal to align departmental goals with the college’s strategic vision.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified teacher with a minimum Level 3 qualification in a construction discipline.
• Proven management experience within a construction education setting.
