Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead and inspire delivery teams across a diverse capital programme. The role focuses on safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of major and minor projects, contributing to sustainable infrastructure and regional travel flexibility.

You will oversee multiple complex projects, develop teams, manage budgets and drive innovation while collaborating with Anglian Water, alliance partners and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale construction delivery, ideally within water, utilities or wider infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering processes and project planning.
• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Forward-thinking mindset, open to innovation, collaboration and change.
• A valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regionally.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead and inspire our delivery teams across a diverse and complex capital programme. This pivotal leadership role, will oversee the safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of both major and minor construction projects, ensuring every build contributes to a sustainable future for our communities and environment.

You are an accomplished construction leader with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects that make a real difference. You’ll bring:
